Messy Art
Several weekends ago I decided to surprise John and Myles with a trip to Messy Art. It's a great place where for a nominal cost, kids can paint with brushes on easels their own size, draw with chalk on the walls, or play with some great toys while listening to kid-friendly tunes. The best part is, they can paint or draw and make a mess, and then someone else cleans it up.
It took Myles a few minutes to get into it, but once he did, he had a blast. Here are a few pics. Isn't that tiny smock the cutest? And check out the art - nice!

WOW! I AM AMAZED WITH THE COLORS HE PICKED MATCHING CONTRAST AND HIS FOCUS SHOWS A GOOD ATTENTION SPAN.

nice painting! that place sounds cool, we still can't get oliver to hold a crayon and draw on paper with it.. when did myles start being able to draw?
Myles did some pen scribbling at 13-14 months which lasted 5 minutes at a time. We recently got one of those magic doodle drawing boards which he loves! He scribbles and wipes a clean slate-not afraid to 'throw' away a drawing-maybe he'll make a good storyboard artist.
Kids get to paint and parents don't have to clean up? I see a Cintiq in your future, Myles!
